Shaping A Distinctive Brand And Web Presence For A Book Writer
The Scarlet Sheep is a powerful personal brand for author Lisa Moler — a book about truth, identity, and belonging. We created a cohesive digital presence that captures the emotional depth of the book and resonates deeply with its audience.

About The Project
The Scarlet Sheep is a deeply personal branding and web development project for author Lisa Moler. The goal was to build an online space that felt as raw and honest as the book itself — one that speaks to readers who have always felt like the "different one" in the room.
Excepteur sint occaecat cupidatat non proident, sunt in culpa qui officia deserunt mollit anim id est laborum. We designed every visual element with intentionality, using deep maroon tones, refined typography, and a layout that creates an immersive reading journey.
Challenge
The primary challenge was translating a deeply emotional, introspective book into a visual brand identity that feels authentic rather than over-designed. The client wanted something that felt premium yet approachable — sophisticated but not cold. Every design choice needed to honor the vulnerability at the heart of the book, while making the website intuitive and compelling for first-time visitors.

Our Process
Our process began with deep discovery sessions to understand the emotional core of the book, the target audience, and the author's personal story. We mapped out user journeys and wireframes before a single pixel of design was placed.

Our Approach
Our approach was rooted in listening first and designing second. We believe that the best brands emerge from a deep understanding of the human story behind them. For The Scarlet Sheep, we were guided by one question in every decision: does this feel true? The result is a brand and website that doesn't just look beautiful — it feels like the book.
